YouTube AI Notes Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we handle your data in "YouTube AI Notes," a Chrome extension from IncreoScale ("we", "us"). See IncreoScale's general privacy policy for our other products.
1. Data That Leaves Your Device

- The cloud infrastructure provider operates our servers and stores data, the payment processing provider handles payments and license management, and the network relay service provider is used to retrieve captions. Your IP address is passed to the cloud infrastructure provider and the network relay service provider.
- Generated summaries are cached on our servers for 24 hours and reused when the same video, language, and summary settings are requested again — including for requests from other users.
- The Installation ID and usage statistics are not linked to personal information such as your name or email address. We do not send any information that identifies the channels you watch.
2. Data That Stays on Your Device
Notes you create, saved summaries, flashcards and study progress, and your settings are stored only in your browser. They are never sent anywhere, including to us.
3. AI Processing
The full caption text of the video is sent to Google (Gemini API), our AI processing provider. We use the paid tier of the Gemini API, and the data we send is not used to train Google's AI models.
4. How Long We Keep Data
- Usage statistics: deleted 6 months after they are collected.
- Generated summaries: cached on our servers for 24 hours so they can be reused, then deleted automatically.
- Everything else: kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.
5. What We Do Not Do (Chrome Web Store Limited Use Requirements)
- We do not sell or transfer the data we collect to any third party other than the service providers listed in Section 1.
- We do not use the data we collect for any purpose other than providing the extension's core functionality.
- We do not use the data we collect to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
6. Requesting Deletion
Email support@increoscale.com to have the data we hold deleted, such as generated summaries and usage statistics. We may ask for your Installation ID or license key so we can identify the right data.
7. If You Uninstall the Extension
The on-device data described in Section 2 is deleted by your browser, and we cannot restore it. Data already sent to our servers is not deleted automatically — it is removed once the retention period in Section 4 has passed. If you want it deleted sooner, contact us using the details in Section 6.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we revise this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will also notify you in the extension itself.
